GMAIL Enhanced: More Security, More Shortcuts, Enhanced Experience

In the race of better user experience, the internet giant Google is rolling out new features every now and then. This time its web version of  "Gmail" is revamped with additional security, integration of artificial intelligence, enhanced security notification and easy to use tools.  Lets check what the new kitty for Gmail web users consists off. 

• Gmail Confidential Mode:

Having seen expiry dates on food items and medicines since childhood, is the expiry date on email on the cards? Yes, it is. In view of large email leakages containing confidential contents, Gmail has come out with concept of expiry date (or revoking previously sent mails)  of confidential mails.

Its not just this, the giant has added security on confidential mail by integrating OTP based authentication through text messages to read confidential mails.

Have you heard the saying that "if you want to keep a secret, first keep it with yourself only". Gmail has implemented that feature, so, in-order to keep secrets within intended people only, it is  protecting confidential information from being forwarded, copied, downloaded or printed, by disabling these features in Confidential mails.

• Security Warning:

Gmail has redesigned its security warning feature. The warnings are more simpler and prominent now. The bigger and bolder warning will enable user to identify potentially risky emails.

• Artificial Intelligence:

In today's world people like to walk straight by ignoring all the noise around. Then, why waste time on noisy emails which pop-up every now and then. To keep it simple, Gmail has integrated AI-powered features like Nudging, Smart Replay and High-Priority Notifications, to help user to concentrate eating rather than cooking meals. 
Not just that, think how the world will be if you can ask Gmail to remind you about a meeting scheduled next month, or the conference whose last date of registration is approaching soon or other work related commitments etc reminders which you got on email. New AI-powered reminders from Gmail will help to follow up, respond and take actions as per need so that you don't forget to respond any important mail.

Note: Smart Reply feature was introduced last year in mobile version of Gmail. After its huge success, its been rolled out for web version of Gmail also. 

• New Feature for Mobile Version:

Mobile phones are small yet very popular and powerful nowadays. Any upgrade only on web version is like a salt-less dish, so new features of mobile version are also there. Gmail has added new feature called High Priority Notification for its mobile version. It will enable user to ignore the noise and de-clutter the emails and thus limit interruptions. 

With advanced AI, the suggestion to unsubscribe from mailing list in which you are no more interested will help to reduce irrelevant mails.

• Easy to Use Tools:

Cookies inside an opaque box or Cookies inside a transparent glass container which will be more tempting and useful. Obviously, the one inside the transparent box, as you know directly that you want to have them or not. Similar is the feature to seeing attachments in inbox without opening email thread. You will know the attachment is useful or not. 
The hover on mail feature will enable you to do RSVP like things to a meeting invite, archive an email thread and/or snooze an email until the right time.
